Spring 2012 Color Trends

The HOT and TRENDY colors of Spring 2012. The striking blend of hot, neon colors with soft pastels. Stated that Yellow will be one of the key colors of the season. Being an aqua color lover my whole life, I'm starting to transition to other colors and palettes, yellow being a new favorite.

Margarita: Already sounds fun. The green palette is touching the neon side as well as the pastels. Green can be the main focal point as in the picture to the right or act as subtle highlights to accent bolder colors or prints.

Sodalite Blue: Calm, soothing, subtle, but definitely makes a statement. This is a perfect example of how designers and homeowners are using wall space as the POP of color while using earth tones as accessories to give that nice even balance.

Solar Power: Yellow is back and making huge statements. Yellow being a key color of the season, the color is eye catching with painted walls, furniture, fabric, even down to the smallest accessories. Earth tones and Gray scales are paired up with yellow, so the fun, funky color is sure to POP!

WOW! I've also notice that designers will combine several colors from around the color wheel to add an extra wow factor to an interior space.
